Party's Over, Okeh was written out of fear; I am afraid of being absorbed into a system and culture I hate, a fear that has preoccupied me since starting full-time work. This song deals with the nostalgia industry and my concerns that one day I'll find myself confining my attitudes and loves to my allotted leisure time after work and at weekends and that any positive influence or threat I once posed will have dissipated in a marketised reimagining of my youth.
